August 22, 20110

On Sunday 21 August 2011, the public prosecution freed MP Hayef after accepting to pay the bail of 2000 K.D. in the case raised against him by the Interior Ministry as a result of demanding a fatwa to shed the blood of the Syrian Ambassador. MP Hayef denied and repudiated all the accusations addressed against him. The case disturbed the MP’s supporters and his Parliament colleagues who rejected his referral to public prosecution and demanded his immediate release.
